Why everyone should be scared of govt?

Blockchain is a technology that is going to impact every one of us. With blockchain, we can program any incentives design with Turing complete language it uses.

With blockchain, we can build dapps (or decentralization apps)

1) Decentralization

Dapps don't have a central authority. Most organizations are centralized, whether Govt or organization like Google or Facebook. Centralization gives them absolute power which they can abuse in their own interest. Take, for example, Facebook to take your private data and give you targeted ads to brainwash you against a party. Google to censor the download of all expensive books, so that poor don't get a chance to learn from these books. Or a central govt who can print a large amount of money to spend for election and win which in contrast can create hyperinflation.

With blockchain, we can decentralize all these systems and hard code the rules of governance which they have to follow and can punish them or remove them if they are found fraudulent. Yes, coding such a governance system is hard, one has to take care of so many attacks and do checks and balances, but with time new algorithms are created and improved.

2) You own the app

Dapps can neither be sold nor purchased.  You can find recent trends of buying all popular apps by monopolies which give them complete absolute power.  Most of the apps you use whether Youtube, Skype, Whatsapp all belong to one or two companies. Google acquired YouTube, Microsoft acquired Skype, Facebook acquired WhatsApp

Here as more attributes that a dapp can hold.

Govt will try all methods to take control of this disruptive technology, which will take away all of its power and give it to people's hand.

India Would Ban Private Cryptocurrencies Under Proposed Legislation

They have already tried to ban exchanges which Supreme Court overruled, saying it cryptocurrency retains the fundamental elements of money and so should be treated as such.

Now again they are trying to ban cryptocurrencies. Remember cryptocurrencies are not private, they are complete public chains controlled by everyone. If it doesn't meet the criteria of decentralization, it should not be said as cryptocurrency and doesn't meet people's interest of decentralization. It will be private if RBI brings its own cryptocurrency and keeping the control in its won hand, it's private if Facebook brings its own crypto-like Libra, and just a bunch of companies control it. In that sense, the currency like Rupees is the private property of RBI, they control its supply and circulation. Cryptocurrency is in no way a private currency because it's owned by people and in a true sense a public property, unlike Rupees.

So, govt intention is clear according to its previous deed. They want centralization and dictatorship which we should be scared of and stop all possible attempts in doing so.
